The religous world has done everything backwards since the death of the apostles 2000 years ago. They teach fear to keep your money and worship of them flowing to them,not God! The term "backsliding" was mentioned in the old testament and the religous world took it and ran with it not being able to see the lieral marriage to Jesus. All rules that apply in a human marriage, apply to Jesus in this literal marriage to Jesus. In a marriage there is no such thing as backsliding. There is only marriage and divorce. In a marriage a person can not backslide. In a real marriage there is patience and love and respect and maturity and growing. If there is a weakness within the marriage it is love and not fear that heals the marriage. When you get married to Jesus it is impossible to backslide. You are either married to Jesus or there is divorce,plain and simple. This being said remember that spouses have alot of patience with eachother and this is even more so in the marriage to Jesus Christ.
